The eyes of Lord Krishna, Balram, and Subhadra are dilated in Puri temple?
It is a matter of surprise for every human being that Radha is not there with Lord Krishna in the temple of Jagannath Puri and secondly, there is a famous mythological story about why the eyes of the three brothers and sisters are so dilated.
Once Mother Yashoda came to Dwarka with Mother Devaki. There Krishna's queens requested the mothers to describe Krishna's childhood pastimes.
Sister Subhadra was also with him.
Mother Yashoda said that she would tell him the pastimes of Krishna and his Gopis.
But this story should not reach the ears of Krishna and Balram.
Subhadra to guard the door
It is ready.
Mother started singing the songs of Leelas. Everyone lost their senses while enjoying God's play.
Even Subhadra did not know when Lord Shri Krishna and Balram arrived there and started enjoying the story along with them. His eyes started widening as he listened to the sweet pastimes of his childhood. The same condition happened to Subhadra and she started melting with joy.
At the same time, Shri Naradji arrived there.
The story stopped as soon as someone was felt coming.
Naradji was fascinated to see such a form of Balram and Subhadra with God.
He said – God!
This form of yours is very beautiful. You should also appear to the common people in this form.
Then Lord Krishna said that he would incarnate in this form in Kaliyuga.
This idol of the Lord is present in Jagannath Puri in which he is with his brother Balram and sister Subhadra.
But why this idol is also half incomplete, there is a mythological story behind it.
According to the traditional story related to the origin of this temple - the original idol of Lord Jagannath made of Indranil or Sapphire,
Was found under a tree.
It was so dazzling, that religion wanted to hide it under the earth. Malwa king Indradyumna had seen this idol in his dream.
Then he performed severe penance and then Lord Vishnu told him to go to the beach of Puri and he would find a wooden stick.
He should get the idol made from the same wood.
The king did the same and got the wooden log.
After that, Vishnu and Vishwakarma appeared before the king in the form of carpenters and sculptors.
But he put a condition that he would prepare the statue within a month.
But till then he will remain locked in a room and the king or anyone else will not come inside that room.
On the last day of the month when there was no sound for several days,
So out of curiosity, the king peeked into the room and the old artisan opened the door and came out and said to the king,
that the statues were still incomplete,
His hands were not yet formed.
When the king expressed regret, the sculptor said that all this had happened by God's will.
And these idols will be installed and worshiped like this.
Then the same three idols of Jagannath, Balabhadra, and Subhadra were placed in the temple.
