Those who keep fast on the full moon of Jyeshtha month start the fast by taking bath early in the morning. Women remain fruitful on the day of fast. The fast is broken only after seeing the moon in the evening. On this day people also listen to the story of Satyanarayan Vrat. To get the blessings of Goddess Lakshmi, worship of Goddess Lakshmi is also done. Chandra Dosh gets removed by seeing the Moon.

Taking water in a pot, adding milk, sugar, akshat and flowers to it, water is offered at the time of moon sighting. By doing this, women get child happiness. Vat Purnima Puja Method

After getting up in Brahma Muhurta, taking bath etc., married women should wear clean clothes and do sixteen makeup.

Go under the banyan tree and make idols of Savitri and Goddess Parvati out of cow dung. If there is no cow dung, betel nut can be used.

To make a symbol of Savitri and Maa Parvati, wrap Kalava in two betel nuts.

Now make a mixture paste from rice, turmeric and water and apply it in the palms and raid the banyan seven times.

Now offer water to the Vat tree.

Offer flowers, garlands, vermilion, akshat, sweets, melon, mango, fan and other fruits.

Then take 14 atta puris and put 2 soaked gram and flour-jaggery dumplings in each puri and keep it in the root of the banyan.

Then offer water.

Light a ghee lamp and incense.

Now take a white yarn thread or Kalava and tie it while circumambulating around the tree.

Do 5 to 7 or so circumambulation according to your faith. After this leave the remaining thread there.

After this, listen to the story of the fast by taking soaked gram in your hands. Then offer these gram.

Then the married women should take three times the vermilion offered to Mother Parvati and Savitri and apply it in their demand.

After this women can break their fast.

To break the fast, take one kopal and 7 gram of banyan tree and swallow it with water.
