Janak was the son of a king named Nimi, who is also known as
Sirdhwaja. This is from Treta Yuga. Once King Nimi called the then-great sage
Vashishtha to perform the Yagya, but Vashishtha had to go to the place of
Devraj Indra to perform the Yagya, that is why he said that at the right time,
he would finish the Yagya at Indra's place and come for the Yagya, but Maharaj
Nimi told him not to do so. Without waiting, Rishi Gautam was called to perform
the Yagya, Rishi Gautam started the Yagya as per the rituals.
When Maharishi Vashishtha finished the yagya at Indra's
place, he came to Nimi's place to perform the yagya and came to know that the
yagya had already been performed by sage Gautam on that day, and the yagya was
going to continue for many days. Is. Maharishi Vashishtha was surprised at this
and then he asked to meet King Nimi, but King Nimi being extremely tired kept
resting and the servants did not wake him up due to fear.
Manan Karne Yogi Katha Curses of Maharishi Vashishtha and King Nimi:
Even after a long wait, when Nimi did not come, Maharishi
Vashishtha became angry, and he cursed Maharaj Nimi and said you have disobeyed
me, that is why your body will become unconscious and get burnt to ashes. Due
to the curse, Maharaj Nimi woke up and came running angrily to Vashishtha, he
said that he had no idea at all that Vashishtha had come because no one told
him about it, Nimi was a very religious, spiritual, and brilliant king, he told
Vashishtha that you had come without any reason. He cursed me, and then King Nimi
also cursed Vashishtha that he too would become unconscious.
Due to the effect of the curse, the bodies of both
Vashishtha and Nimi became unconscious, and then Bhrigu Rishi and his associate
sages provided protection to Nimi's body and started offering sacrifices to
complete her incomplete yagya.
After completion of the Yagya, Bhrigu Rishi told Nimi's soul that now his Yagya has been completed, and his body is also safe if he wanted, he could come back to his body and live a normal life, but Maharaj Nimi said that body. I refused to go back, on this the sages said tell me what should be done with your soul and where it should be established, on this King Nimi said that he wants to reside in the eyes of all living beings.
Manan Karne Yogi Katha The Secret of Being addressed by the name of Raja Janak:
Then the gods and sages told him, okay you will reside in
the form of air in the eyes of all living beings and will keep moving in them,
to remove your tiredness the creatures will close their eyes and provide you
rest, now it was the turn to How would the dynasty of King Janak be carried
forward, then the gods and sages started churning his dead body, from this
churning they got a son from King Nimi who was named Mithi, he came to be known
as King Mithi Janak. And later on, all the kings of his dynasty were addressed
by the name of Janak.
