Ekadashi date has special significance in Hinduism. Ekadashi comes twice every month – one for Krishna Paksha and the other for Shukla Paksha. Ekadashi of Krishna Paksha of Ashadha month is called Yogini Ekadashi. It is believed that by observing Ekadashi fast, a person attains salvation after death. One gets freedom from all sins. This year Yogini Ekadashi will be celebrated on 24 June 2022.

Devshayani Ekadashi fast is observed after Yogini Ekadashi. Lord Vishnu goes into yoga nidra for four months from Devshayani Ekadashi. During this, Lord Shankar operates the universe. Auspicious works are forbidden in these months. Yogini Ekadashi fast is observed between Nirjala Ekadashi and Devshayani Ekadashi.
The fasting of Yogini Ekadashi begins on the night of Dashami Tithi. In this fast, give up tamasic food and follow celibacy. sleep on the ground In the morning, after retiring from bath etc., worship Lord Vishnu. One must listen to the story of Yogini Ekadashi during this fast. Donating on this day is beneficial. Worship the Peepal tree. Awaken the Lord in the night. Do not bring any kind of hatred or anger in your mind. After offering food to a Brahmin on Dwadashi Tithi, take food yourself.
