Information about the law of worship of Maa Kushmanda and other important rules on the fourth day of Navratri

Kushmanda Mata is worshiped on the fourth day of Navratri. Kushmanda is a Sanskrit word which means- Ku means small/subtle, heat means energy and Anda means egg. Worshiping the Kushmanda form of the Goddess brings wealth, glory and happiness and peace to the devotees.

Mother Kushmanda

Maa Kushmanda has 8 arms which are adorned with chakra, mace, bow, arrow, nectar urn, kamandalu and lotus. Mother rides a lioness.

Mythological beliefs

When darkness was spread all around, there was no universe, then Goddess Kushmanda created the universe smiling softly. This form of Goddess is such that it can reside inside the Sun also. This form is also shining like the sun. After creating the universe, the goddess created the trinity (Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh) and the trinity (Kali, Lakshmi and Saraswati). This form of Goddess is the creator of this entire universe.

Mother Kushmanda guides the Sun. Therefore, by worshiping them, the ill effects of the Sun can be avoided.
