Devuthani Ekadashi Vrat and Worship Method
1. After bathing this morning, resolve to fast on Devuthani Ekadashi and worship Vishnu. After that worship in auspicious time.
2. Establish the idol or picture of Lord Vishnu by laying a yellow cloth on a post. After that bathe them with Panchamrit. Then offer them yellow clothes.
3. Then offer sandalwood, yellow flowers, turmeric, roli, akshat, incense, naivedya, lamp, gram flour laddus, basil leaves, jaggery etc. to Lord Vishnu. During this, keep chanting the mantra Om Namo Bhagwate Vasudevaya Namah.
4. After this recite Vishnu Chalisa, Vishnu Sahasranama and Devuthani Ekadashi fasting story. Then worship Lord Vishnu with a lamp of ghee.
5. At the conclusion of the puja, express your wishes to Lord Vishnu. Then stay on fruit diet throughout the day. Spend time in devotion and bhajan. Perform Sandhya Aarti in the evening.
6. Do Jagran at night time. Next day in the morning after bath-meditation, recite the worship. Donate the things offered in worship to a Brahmin. Go south.
7. After this, complete the fast by taking food during Parana time. In this way Devuthani Ekadashi fast should be kept. Lord Vishnu will be pleased by this and will get his blessings.

On Ekadashi day, if possible, one should take bath in the Ganges.
3. Donate saffron, banana or turmeric on the day of Ekadashi to remove the obstacles related to marriage.
4. By keeping fast on Ekadashi, it is believed to get desired results along with wealth, honor and child happiness.
5. It is said that by observing the fast of Ekadashi, the ancestors attain salvation.
