When to celebrate Mahashivaratri on 18 or 19 February:-
Every year the great festival of Mahashivaratri is celebrated on the Chaturdashi date of Krishna Paksha of Phalgun month. There is special importance in worshiping Mahadev in four hours on Mahashivaratri and out of this, the 8th Muhurta of the night has special importance. This time Chaturdashi Tithi will end on the evening of 19 February. For this reason, the festival of Mahashivratri will be celebrated on 18 February.

Auspicious time of Mahashivratri Puja First hour Puja - on February 18 from 06:41 PM to 09:47 PM. Second-hour worship - on February 18 from 09:47 pm to 12:53 pm. Third-hour worship - on February 19 from 12:53 pm to 03:58 pm. Fourth-hour worship - on February 19 from 03:58 am to 07:06 am.
Auspicious coincidence on Mahashivratri 2023:-
