Vastu Purush originated from the sweat of Lord Shiva. When the sweat of Lord Shiva fell on the earth, Vastu Purush was born from it and fell on the ground. Vastu Shastra was created to please Vastu Purush. The effect of Vastu Purush remains in all directions. After this, at the behest of Vastu Purush, Brahma ji made the rules of Vastu Shastra. According to which any house or building is built. After this, worship of Vastu Purush is important on every occasion from Bhumi Pujan to Griha Pravesh. Along with which Lord Shiva, Ganesha and Brahma ji must be worshipped. Due to this the land becomes pure and the people living there do not get disturbed in any way.
From Bhoomi Pujan to Griha Pravesh, Vastu Puja is necessary
According to the Puranas, Vastu Purush is worshiped on the occasion of any kind of construction work. Doing so gives auspicious results. Therefore, first of all, at the time of Bhumi Pujan, the deity of Vastu is worshipped. After this, the law of worshiping Vastu Purush has been told while digging the foundation, while putting up the main door and also during the entrance of the house. Due to this the people living in that house stay away from all kinds of troubles. He also gets all kinds of happiness and prosperity.
Vastu Purush is the main deity of the building
Vastu Purush is considered to be the main deity of the building. According to Vastu Shastra, Vastu Purush is situated facing down on the ground. Adhomukha means that their face is towards the ground and their back is towards the top. Head is in north-east direction, feet is in south-west direction. Thus their arms are in east and north.
Brahma ji made the rules of Vastu Shastra
The rules of Vastu Shastra have been told in many Puranas, but they have been specially told in Matsya Purana. According to this, on the request of Vastu Purush, Brahmaji had composed the rules of Vastu Shastra. Their information reached the common people through other scriptures through Puranas.
Matsya Purana: Matsya Purana, one of the 18 Puranas of Sanatan Dharma, is a very important Purana. In which 14 thousand verses are included with about 291 chapters. This Purana is directly related to the Matsya i.e. fish incarnation of Lord Vishnu, due to which this Purana came to be known as Matsya Purana. In this Purana, Lord Vishnu, in his Matsya avatar, preached to King Vaivasvata Manu and the Sapta Rishis through Mahatmya.
In these teachings, charity, sacrifice, penance, fasting, description of Rajdharma, description of the forms of the Navagrahas, dream scriptures, omens, astrology, gemology, description of the nature of the idols of gods and goddesses, Vastu Shastra, Tarakasur narrative, Narsingh description, description of the entire lineage of sages, etc. have been described according to astrology. Description of the nature of Navagrahas clearly in Matsya Purana
Sun :
Suryadev, the king of planets, has two arms and lotus is adorned in both his hands. He himself also sits on the lotus seat. His aura is like the inner part of the lotus. At the same time, he is mounted on a huge and grand chariot connected by seven horses and seven ropes.
Moon :
Moon is glorified i.e. his physique is beautiful and complexion is fair. He has two arms and in one hand he holds a mace and the other hand is in Varadamudra. He always wears white/white clothes. His vehicle is the horse-drawn chariot and the color of his horses is also white.
Mars :
Mars has four arms and holds Shakti, Trishul, Gada and Varada Mudra in their four hands respectively. The color of the fur on his body is red. Mars wears a red flower garland and red clothes.
Mercury
Mercury has four arms and holds sword, shield, mace and varada mudra in their four hands respectively. He wears a yellow wreath and yellow clothes. The aura of his body is like the flower of Kaner. Budh Dev rides a Lion.

Jupiter:
Brihaspati has got the title of Guru of all the gods, hence it is also called Guru. He has four arms and in all four hands, respectively, a rosary of rudraksh, kamandalu and varada are in mudra. Their body color is yellow. He himself also wears yellow clothes.
Venus :
Shukracharya, the guru of the demons, is Shukra, whose body color is white. They also have four arms and in all four hands, respectively, there is a garland of rudraksh, kamandalu and varamudra. Venus wears only white clothes.
Saturn:
Shanashchar i.e. Shani's aura is similar to that of Indranilamani (blue colored sapphire gem/gem). Shani rides on a griddle. They also have four arms and they live in bow, arrow, trident and varamudra respectively in all four hands.
Rahu :
The face of Rahu is very frightening and fierce. He sits on a huge blue throne. He has four arms and is adorned with sword, shield, trident and votive in all four hands respectively.
Ketu:
Ketu is not one but many and they all have two arms. He used to hold mace and vermillion in both his hands. Huh. The color of his body and clothes is dhumra (smoky). His face is distorted and he rides on a pot all the time.
