'On reaching home, I got the sad news. Akbar Shahpurwala, a legend of the film industry, has passed away. I used to call him Akki Uncle. He sewed many of my father's clothes. As far as I remember, he sewed many suits for me just like my father. He also made suits for my films. The first suit he sewed for me was the one I wore to the premiere of Refugee. I still have that exemption.'
Abhishek further wrote in his post, 'If your outfit or suit is made by the kitchen and then by Gabbana, then you have become a star. This was his influence in the film industry. If they themselves cut the fabric of your suit, then it is believed that they love you very much. They always tell me that cutting a suit isn't just about sewing, it's about emotions.
