Holashtak 2023 Date: According to the Hindu calendar, Holi Mahaparva is celebrated with great enthusiasm every year on the full moon day of Shukla Paksha of Phalgun month. But Holashtak starts eight days before Holi i.e. Ashtami Tithi of Phalgun month and it ends on the day of Holika Dahan on Purnima Tithi. It has been told in the scriptures that during these eight days of Holashtak, many types of auspicious works like marriage, mundane, upanayana rites, etc. are banned and these works are resumed from the Holi festival. But this year it will last for nine days. It will start on 27th February and will end on the day of Holika Dahan i.e. 7th March.
