Amla Navami
Amla Navami is celebrated on the Navami of Shukla Paksha of Kartik month. It is also called Akshaya Navami. This year Akshaya Navami or Amla Navami will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 2, tomorrow. There is a law to worship the gooseberry tree on this day, hence this Navami is called Amla Navami. It is believed that Lord Vishnu resides in the gooseberry tree and worshiping the gooseberry tree on the ninth day of Kartik Shukla pleases both Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi.
